It's been another Sunday where I burned myself out and crashed on the couch, except this time I don't feel like I really accomplished much of anything most of the day. The worst part is not getting any food prep done, so I have nothing ready to take to work tomorrow. And now it's late, and my brain is foggy, and I just want to go crash again.

It was stupid hot almost all week long, and with a daily threat of storms I was forced to have the doors and roof on my Jeep (bummer). Walking at lunch was also less than comfortable, but I still went - no way I'm spending a week of lunch breaks sitting at my desk. No vacation day on Friday, and in fact, I also worked Saturday auditing a physical count at the one local plant, which is why I had so much to try to get done today. I haven't slept particularly well the last few nights either, and that never helps.

I did manage to work in a couple of enjoyable things over the weekend. Friday night my good friend and I went to a nearby town - with no real plan in mind other than to wander around - and discovered that they had their waterfront street closed off to traffic, restaurants had patios set up in the street, and there were vendors and live music. The weather was really pleasant as well, with a nice breeze coming off the water. It was a fun little excursion to start the summer. I also happened to be in the same town yesterday for the inventory audit, and after that was done I went to another one of the stops on my brewery tour. This was one of the places I've never been to before, and they had a very nice selection to sample. It was a great way to unwind after dealing with the plant all day.

Goals are holding fairly steady, just a couple points below last week. I have been feeling sluggish quite often lately, which has been both the cause of some of my poorer scores, and the result of some of the others. With the heavy workload of the coming couple weeks, I need to make sure I get decent rest so I don't start slacking off on things like exercise. That's still going great and I don't want to have the same mid-year collapse as the past two years.

OK, that's all I can muster for today. It won't be long before my alarm is yelling at me, so I should go get as much sleep as I can. Enjoy your week - I'll see you again soon. =]
