The weather yesterday was beautiful. Today it's snowing again. But, I've got my cappuccino, and my spot in the coffee shop by the window, and I'm feeling pretty decent.

Last week wasn't too bad. Work was fairly normal. No new news on the plant sale rumour, so for now I'm waiting to see how much truth there is in it. If anything does happen it'll be several months down the road before it's final - no sense jumping the gun until I know for sure.

Goals went alright, except that I missed completing two things just last night that threw off my score for the week. Overall the month (shortened as it was since I started mid-way through) went okay - I'll be doing my monthly review post later this evening.

I'm very happy to have found the indoor track at the university. It's so much better than using a treadmill at the gym - I have a much better sense of how I feel during a run, and how I'm progressing with the training plan. I don't think I'll reach my 2-hour target by the time my April races roll around, but I do expect to be able to beat my previous PR significantly.

Friday I was in the later time slot for curling, and thanks to work schedules I was able to hang out with my good friend for a bit beforehand. We hadn't had a chance to do that since before the holidays, and it was nice to sit and relax and chat. Curling wasn't so nice, however. It was one of the few nights this season where I couldn't find the fun in the game. Collectively our team struggled, but I think what was bugging me was one of the people on the other team - something about them was just rubbing me the wrong way. But if after several months I've only come across one person that isn't my cup of tea, I kinda think that's a win, wouldn't you say?

Saturday we brought Dry January to a close a day early. In our group there were three people with birthdays all in a row, so a night out was organized. It was a semi-surprise for the guests of honour - they knew about the dinner plans, but not that the entire group was going to be there. It was a really fun night for all.

And hey, look at that. I'm wrapping this up a bit earlier than normal, so I can sit and watch the snow for a few more minutes before heading back to work. I'm not sure where I'll be coming to you from next week - I'm moving back to the office in the city, and I don't think there are any decent coffee shops in the area. But I'll figure something out. See you then. =]
