This Past Week...

Yes, I know it's Sunday. I decided to move my weekly post to a day where I can do all of my computer activities at once, which should help balance things out a bit better each week.
Despite the extra half week, there's not a lot to talk about. I've taken the last two Fridays off, and both were very laid back - slept in, had lunch with my good friend, and didn't do a heck of a lot else. Curling was cancelled last week due to weather (I was looking forward to that match up too). This week was our last match of the first half, and although we lost it was a very tight game that came down to the last shot.
Work has been somewhat ok. I've made a lot of headway on my backlog list the past couple weeks, which feels really good. If I can continue to keep this pace, I ought to be be fully caught up be the end of March (yes, the list is that big).
Things outside of work have been a bit heavy though. I've spent lots of time helping my MIL deal with the "administrative" side of losing someone - figuring out investments, where to make appointments, how to consolidate bank accounts, etc. I know she needs the help and I would never say no, but it's a lot - and it's not like I have a ton of free time to begin with. I've also been feeling very distracted the last several days, but I can't put my finger on why. I'm hoping it's just poor sleep, but we'll see.
It's taken a few weeks to get my 2024 goals organized. I think I've finally settled into most of them, but there's still a couple that I need to get off the ground this week. At some point before the end of the month I need to do a post outlining everything, and then I can start doing monthly recaps.
Well I guess there was a fair bit to talk about after all. I have a bit of time left in the day so I'm going to get through the first colour change on the blanket I'm working on (oh yeah - I started a new blanket project last week as well) before heading to bed. I'll see you again next Sunday. =]

>>A break would be nice. I kinda feel like I'm starting to wind down out of a calm period, and another stretch of chaos is just around the corner.<<
Oh geez. Hopefully the chaos holds off for a little bit for you.
