Summer Project - Update 1

I have just completed the first group of pieces for my crochet blanket project. This group consists of 5 separate pieces in a medium grey colour. Had to remember to label each piece as I made them, so that when it comes time for the final assembly I know which one goes where. XD 



There are 28 more pieces to come, in 4 different colours, and then everything will get stitched together (assuming my measurements all match up).

Next up - 4 pieces in a light grey. Wish me luck!!  =]

Good luck! That's a very soothing shade of grey.

One of the challenges was finding a complimentary transition of greys - light, medium, & dark - in a warmer tone, and a blue to match.

"Soothing" is a good word for it too. =]

I'm using a moss (aka linen) stitch. It really does all the work of making the pieces square off so evenly. Even the couple of areas that went a little bit off due to inconsistent tension got compensated for. =]

I've made a start on the next colour - I think 10 rows out of 80 are done on the first piece. Coming along well so far!
