This Past Week...
Mar. 2nd, 2023 10:38 pm Last week's post, a half hour late.
This week's post, a day late.
Another downward trend I need to nip in the bud. =[
I'll skim over the broken record stuff this time. Success rate is down again, sleeping like shit, not exercising regularly, yada yada yada.
Ok, now that that's over, on to some interesting things.
I know there's some Duolingo folks around here. Last week I hit 900 consecutive days. I recently finished up the Dutch course and started in on German. So far it's going well, but every once in a while I get caught spelling a word in Dutch by mistake ("ik" instead of "ich" is the most common one).
Work has been wild. Last weekend we had inventory counts happening at every plant in preparation for the transfer of ownership. I'm the manager of the corporate accounting department responsible for six of those facilities, had to support the US plants remotely, and be at the CDN plants to meet with auditors and a rep from the new company (who I think I made a fairly good impression on). There were certainly some hiccups, but by far the worst part was the 16 hours of unpaid OT (being a salary employee sucks - do not recommend). More about work next week.
I spent some time tonight rearranging the basement so I have a comfy chair to watch tv, and I've got a hockey game on, so I'll wrap things up for now. The weekend is right around the corner - I'm looking forward to it, and I hope you are too. =]
