Missed opportunities…

My Aunt was laid to rest this afternoon. It was a very nice service and lots of her family was there. And I’m very glad I went today.

But I wish that I had gone Saturday for the visitation as well. All of my Aunts and Uncles - my dad’s siblings - were noticeably missing today, and I’m guessing they were all there on Saturday.

That would have been the time for hugs, and condolences, and stories of our shared past. And I can’t help but feel that it was an opportunity missed.  =\

I'm so sorry for your loss and that you missed the chance to reminisce with her siblings. I hope you have the opportunity to see them again soon, if you don't think the moment has gone.

Unfortunately, responsibilities and distance make it challenging for me to see most of my family anymore. It’s really only at times like this that everyone is in the same place at the same time, which is why I’m regretful.
