Short and sweet this week.  I had a long day today and my energy reserves are completely tapped.

Work was nothing special (again), although I did have a project to work on that ate a couple days. Nothing particularly interesting, but it did help stave off the incredible boredom I've had to deal with the previous couple of weeks.

Goals continue to be in the "average" range. I'm going to take a look at making some modifications for next month though - I'm finding that some of the items are almost impossible to succeed at as weekly goals, and that's pretty frustrating.

Running continues to go well. I did another long run today (this will be a regular Sunday thing now), a bit shorter at 8 miles, but I pushed the pace compared to last week. It was another run to test where my capabilities are now, so in a few weeks when I start an actual training plan for my fall half marathons, I can set some realistic goals.

The Thursday grocery experiment seems to be working out, and having the extra time on the weekend is wonderful. One thing though, I've learned that it doesn't matter what day or time I do it, grocery shopping is still the one chore that aggravates me the most.

I took tomorrow as a vacation day, so with another 3-day weekend I made another schedule for what I wanted to get done. That experiment is working out well also - it'll be interesting to see how it goes on a regular weekend when I don't have the luxury of an extra day.

I got to spend Friday evening hanging out with my good friend after I went to run club, and as an added bonus we got to hang out a bit today as well. Her sister invited me to the scavenger hunt she was hosting, and that was a lot of fun.

And lastly, I managed to get a quarterly activity done. There is a local company that makes gourmet sausages, and every few months the owner puts on a sausage-making class. He talked a bit about the science behind it, and then we got to actually prepare a batch of sausages to take home. It was very interesting and lots of fun, and the next time he does the second part of the class I think I'm going to do that one too.

Overall a pretty good week. And now, as I struggle to keep my eyelids open, I'm calling it a night. Enjoy the week ahead!  =]
