This past week...

Well, it's much later than I wanted it to be, and since I still have my February wrap-up to do I'll get moving.
Goals dropped off a bit, down to 68% this week. Sleeping was actually worse than the week before, hitting each target only once. I don't really have a good answer for it either, other than I just haven't wanted to go to bed. I missed a lot of opportunities for exercise as well, by shutting off my first alarm and taking the extra 45 minutes of sleep before getting up in the morning. Maybe this week will be better?
On Monday I moved into my new office space at work. We don't even have the ridiculously tiny cubicles yet. They have us on tables in the back corner until the furniture gets installed. No storage space either - everything I previously had in my desk is sitting in boxes on the floor. I've organized it as best I can, but for now it's like living out of a suitcase.
I got a new phone this week. I really didn't like my old one, pretty much right from the beginning. It just never felt quite right, and when it recently started having performance issues it made the decision to upgrade a no-brainer. I changed brands but it's still an android, and so far I'm happier with this new one. There was a minor hiccup though - when they did the data transfer I forgot about the encrypted messages in Messenger that were only stored on the old phone. Most of the conversations were no big deal, but there were three people where I lost almost a year, and there were definitely things in there I would have liked to keep.
Friday was the first of the month and therefore the start of month-end, so no day off. It ended up being a crappy work day too. I couldn't get ahold of anyone when I needed to, I couldn't get anything done in the time frame I needed to, and at the end of the day I was sitting more than half a day behind. I also didn't go to curling because we had concert tickets. Even way back when we got the tickets I wasn't thrilled about giving up one of my Friday nights, and being in a crappy mood from work didn't make that sentiment any better. To top it off the show wasn't even all that good, and I got home in all kinds of unpleasant moods.
The weekend is normally consumed by my unpaid second job (i.e. adulting), but I did have one thing happen that made me very happy. At the end of April last year I was at my lowest weight in I don't know how long. With work stresses, my knee injury, etc, it steadily climbed through the rest of the year, and at Christmas I was at my highest weight since before covid. Well as of yesterday I've dropped 11 pounds over the last two months, and I'm almost back to where I was last year! It happened a lot faster than I was expecting too, so I'm very optimistic about the months to come.
And that's everything, at least for this time. Hopefully the coming week is decent for us all - see you next time. =]
