This past week...

It's been another relatively decent week, although I've been feeling a bit sluggish today. Hopefully that's a short-term thing, but in the interest of getting some rest I'm going to keep this simple and then off to bed.
No day off Friday with it being month-end, but the weekend still went well. Curling was unfortunately another loss, but it was much less disheartening this time - we were making good shots, but they just weren't quite working out the way we needed. Saturday we had tickets for an out-of-town concert, which was terrific. Thankfully I had planned ahead and done extra chores last weekend and during the week so I didn't have to scramble around on Sunday to catch up (once in a while I do the smart things!).
Monday brought several interesting things. Behind a cut for size, plus there's some fun photos in there too.
That proposal that was offered to my coworker - they "politely declined". I think the other people on the call could see my smile over the phone! Even though it puts some strain on the department as a whole, I'm still very happy they refused to be used by someone who is ultimately just trying to play the hero for the new management.
On my walk at lunch Monday, I went in the opposite direction than usual... and I found the beaver dam! I took a couple pictures, but the path is in an awkward spot to get good detail. Still on the lookout for the critters themselves...

This year is probably the last time that our group of work friends will get together before the holiday, so I decided to get everyone a little something. My friend's sister has a side business doing custom baked goods and confections, and this month she has been offering hot chocolate bombs. I went by Monday after work and picked up my order. They look amazing - I should have got some for myself too. Here's what each pack looks like...

Since I was going over there, I also brought the scarf I had been working on and finished the week before. My friend also does fibre-crafting and has some items for donation, so I wanted to add it to the collection. And, since I needed a pic, and a scarf only looks right when worn, I convinced her to model it for me, specifically so I could show it off here...

After that it's just been work and other normal stuff the past couple of days, nothing special. I am planning to take this coming Friday off, but I don't believe I have any specific plans for the weekend just yet. Which is fine - I think a "me-day" is in order anyway, and I'll figure the rest out from there.
I hope December is treating you all well so far. So long for now, and I'll talk to you again next week. =]
