It’s been less than three weeks since I found out about my Aunt’s illness. A few hours ago she passed away.

She was the kind of person who, once she knew you you became family, and once you were family you were always family, no matter what. I think that’s the one thing I loved most about her, the one thing that impacted on my life the most. She was among the handful of family members that I always had the closest connections to. Her passing is a loss that I will carry with me for a long time to come.
