Another Side Project...
Oct. 19th, 2022 11:22 pmWell, all the adjustments, corrections, and re-do's on my blanket are done, and it's time to join everything together...
But guess what? (I guess not much of a guess is needed - the subject line of the post kinda gives it away.)
Another coworker is a few weeks away from going on mat leave, so it's baby blanket time again. Same yarn as last time, just in a different colour palette ("boy" colours). Also trying out a different technique - using an 8mm hook with a single stitch instead of a 5.5mm hook with a half-double.
Getting started was tricky. The yarn is slippery, and the bigger hook is awkward. Just getting the first two rows done seemed to take forever. But once I had a few more rows added on and had something substantial to hold on to, things started moving quicker. I ended up with a couple inches completed when I put it away for the night.
I have a few weeks, but I'm hoping to get it done by next Friday (that's when presents are planned for). As soon as it's ready for wrapping I'll get a picture to share.
Good night for now!
