This past week...

Well, let's start this off very simply... read the first two paragraphs of last week's post. The things I wanted to address, I did not address. Minor caveat with running because I had a cold for much of the week, but I could have done other things to make up for it and did not.

Another thing I noticed (OK, I didn't just notice it, but I feel I need to own up to it) is that I've been avoiding being at home as much as I can lately. It's a double-edged sword - I'm hiding from the burden of household responsibilities, but in doing so I'm not getting nearly enough done, which just makes the burden feel even heavier, and makes me want to hide from it even more. It's an exhausting cycle, and I know I'm not coping with it in the right way, but...

The only really enjoyable part of the week was getting to hang out with my good friend Friday evening for a couple beverages and some good conversation. Her BF was there as well - I like him, he's a good guy, but I do wish we had more in common (sometimes I feel it's a bit awkward talking about the same few things all the time).

Coming up this week I've got month end (ugh), there are some things around the house that I must arrange to get taken care of soon (pain in the ass), and I need to try to stop avoiding home (easier said than done). And I need to get some running in because I've got a 5K to do next Sunday (my first run event of the year).

For now I'm off to bed. Have a great week! =]

Aw, man, sorry to hear that this week was such a bust. I'll be cheering for you to get through your work and home tasks as smoothly as possible! That kind of stress always sucks but especially with a big event like your run coming up.
