This past week...

Starting this week's post just under the wire, but still on time. Unfortunately it means I will miss my sleep target tonight - unless I sleep in, in which case I'll miss my exercise in the morning. Bottom line, no matter what I choose I'm going to get an X in my tracker for something tomorrow, so since I'm already here let's talk about what happened last week.

Slight overall improvement in achieving goals last week, up to 85%. However, late to bed = oversleeping in the morning = missed exercise, over and over. I absolutely must figure out a way to get to sleep before midnight on a more regular basis if I'm going to get out of this cycle (he says while sitting at his computer, literally at midnight).

The blanket I started working on is coming along nicely, a little over half done. I'm actually hoping to have it completed by the end of the coming weekend, so stay tuned for a project post on Sunday or Monday.

Work went from "interesting" to "bat-shit crazy". Everyone seems to have recovered from vacation mode, and now the work from other departments is flowing in steadily. Not anything I couldn't normally deal with on my own, but there is also now a flurry of activity related to the company changing hands. On Friday a team of Accounting executives came from the corporate head office to meet with our Accounting management group (including yours truly). It was an all-day meeting, looking at all of our different departments and what the new expectations are going to be. Talk about a culture shock! So many things are going to have to change, and quickly too - it's going to be a huge challenge for all of us.

Other than the work craziness, it was a fairly decent week.  I hope everyone else had a decent week too. =]

Yay for a decent week and congrats on improving as far as hitting your goal targets. Not being able to sleep and that throwing everything off can be really frustrating-- it's like, come on, brain, all we have to do here is stop doing stuff-- and I wish you best luck on finding a solution! Best luck with work stuff, too, for that matter. Trying to juggle a steady workflow with policy changes does not sound like a good time. Here's hoping things go smoothly once they're on a roll!

Not sleeping when you want to sleep is SUCH a challenge. Many sympathies, and I wish you luck with it.

Still, good job on hitting most of the things! That's far from trivial.

I'm having a decent week. Looking forward to seeing your blanket project.
