Thanks. Being forceful like that is not one of my strong suits, and it tends to come off angry. But I'm past caring about the "optics" of my attitude. And if it wasn't for being "trapped", I'd already be gone - so what do I have to lose?

And yes, the mitten is mended and was easier than I thought. Being a gift I just didn't want to ruin it. Plus, since it's knit and not crochet, I had some trouble seeing the stitch pattern at first. But all's well that ends well. =]
